Alhassan Yusuf has been ruled out of Nigeria Super Eagles Clash with the Elephants of Ivory Coast on Thursday in Abidjan.
The player picked up an injury during Nigeria’s first game at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Antwerp star was certainly one of the major positives from the Super Eagles’ disappointing 1-1 draw with Equatorial Guinea.
He held his own despite the physicality of the match and did not look out of place for a player who was only called up last week after injury ruled Wilfred Ndidi out of the tournament.
Sadly, his fine debut for the Nigerian national team was cut short by an injury after 69 minutes. The box-to-box midfielder had to be stretchered off and was replaced by Joe Aribo.
The Super Eagles will clash with the Ivorian Elephants on Thursday at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan.
