The Syli Nationals have arrived home and returned the national flag to the country’s leader, General Mamady Doumbouya following their arrival from Cote D’Ivoire.
Guinea lost 3-1 to DR Congo in the quarter-finals of the CAF Africa Cup of Nations 2023 in Ivory Coast. Guinea overcame rivals Equatorial Guinea with a 1-0 win in their last-16 tie.
On arrival, The Guinea national team was received at the Mohamed V Palace in Conakry after an outstanding performance at the AFCON 2023 during which they reached the quarter-finals in which they were knocked out by DR Congo.
The team returns the flag the same way it was handed to the squad in December 2023 ahead of the kick-off of the AFCON.
