Cameroon Striker, Vincent Aboubakar has reacted to yesterday’s defeat to the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny stadium in Abidjan.
The Nigeria Super Eagles eliminated Cameroon with a 2-0 victory in the Africa Cup of Nations, advancing to the quarter-finals where they will face Angola.
Ademola Lookman’s brace ensured Nigeria a place in next weekend’s Africa Cup of Nations quarter-finals as they beat long-standing foes Cameroon 2-0 in the last 16 on Saturday.
Lookman’s 36th-minute goal at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium opened the scoring and he contributed a second on the stroke of full time as Nigeria largely outplayed Cameroon.
“The feeling can only be negative. Today we found an even tougher opponent. You know that Nigeria isn’t an easy team. Cameroon dominated in terms of possession but small errors cost us the match. It’s football, there’s nothing we can do about it. We will just get up and prepare for the next deadlines. It’s sad that now, we will be spectators of the AFCON” He said
