According to reports, Nigeria Striker Umar Sadiq has pulled out of the 2023 AFCON tournament in Ivory Coast.
Sadiq was seen with a bandage around his leg on Wednesday during Nigeria’s First session of the Super Eagles after they arrived in Abidjan on Wednesday.
Sadiq has suffered a knee injury and he will be out of action for at least three weeks and thus out of the Super Eagles AFCON campaign.
The Nigeria team has faced injury since the unveiling of the Eagles ‘ man squad in December. Ndidi was the first to pulled out of the Eagles squad due to injury before Victor Boniface.
Nigeria who are in Group A alongside Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, and host Ivory Coast will play their first game on Sunday against Equatorial Guinea-Bissau .
