The Confederation of African Football CAF is set to suspend the coach of the Moroccan national team Walid Regragui for the incident that happened in their second-group match against DR Congo.
Walid will be suspended for four matches and with a fine of $5000 after the events of the match between Morocco and the Democratic Republic of the Congo at the Korogho Stadium on Sunday.
Scuffles broke out after full-time in the Morocco vs DR Congo game after Walid Regragui coach of Morocco went to confront Mbemba about the captain of DR Congo for time wasting and not leaving the pitch when he was ordered by the Referee.
Both teams after leaving the pitch were seen running into the tunnel to continue the fight in the dressing room.
Walid who led the Atlas Lions to the Semifinals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup will no longer be in charge of Morocco’s remaining matches at the 2023 AFCON.
