Nigeria Goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali is doubt for selection in Nigeria’s quarter-final clash with Angola on Friday
Nwabali who has been between the sticks since the commencement of the 2023 Africa of Cup of Nations, AFCON sustained an injury after colliding with Cameroon player Georges-Kevin N’Koudou in an aerial challenge.
The Eagles Goalkeeper trained with the Super Eagles for the first on Tuesday after their round of 16 clash with Cameroon but Peseiro has confirmed that the goalkeeper is doubtful for tomorrow’s clash.
“We will take the final test and training today if Nwbali can’t play. I will play Francis Uzoho as I have confidence in all of my goalkeepers” said Peseiro.
Nigeria’s new number is expected to pass a late fit fitness set on Thursday and might be available for selection for the quarter-final duel with Palancas Negras of Angola

Nigeria will play at Abidjan’s Stade Félix Houphouet-Boigny against Angola in the quarter-finals of the competition on Friday, 2 February. It will be on the same turf the Super Eagles beat Cameroon in the round of 16, to advance in the competition.
