The Nigeria Super Eagles have decided to train behind closed doors to change to new tactics that will see the 2013 Champions beat the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon on Saturday.
According to reports Jose Peseiro will train with the team behind closed doors on Wednesday and Thursday as the tactical session resumes without the media.
The media hasn’t seen the team after their qualification to the round of 16 but Peseiro wants no distraction from the media for now.
Peseiro and his team have been criticized for their lack of goals and their style of play despite reaching the Round of 16 with seven points.
The Super Eagles have only scored three goals with two of those coming from penalty and own goals.
The Super Eagles will meet Cameroon in the round of 16 for the second time in the last three editions. The last time both sides met in an AFCON was in 2019 in Egypt when The Super Eagles came out victorious in the round of 16.
