The Head Coach of Nigeria Super Eagles, Jose Peseiro has encouraged Nigerians to support the team rather than talking bad the him and his players.
Peseiro speaking during Nigeria Press Conference ahead of tomorrow’s match with Equatorial Guinea said he is not happy about what people are writing about him and his players but his team is going to give their best in tomorrow’s game.
Nigeria will play their first Match of the AFCON tomorrow and Peseiro and his boys will need to buy back the support of Nigerians after two draws and a defeat in the last three matches.
“To play for Nigeria is not easy, 200 million football fans want to win and we need to answer with good results on the pitch.
“I don’t speak about our last results, I speak about how we can improve our results. We create always and we need that balance.
“We will give our best in tomorrow’s game.”
“We play for the flag, for the Nigerian people. Our salaries and bonuses are the last things on our minds…. I’d prefer not to speak about my salary” He said.
The Portuguese also confirm the arrival of Kelechi Iheanacho and Paul Onuachu at the Super Eagles camp in Abidjan in time for the team’s opening game at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
