- Super Eagles Captain, Ahmed Musa says he and the entire Super Eagles Team are Confident that they will return home to Nigeria with the AFCON Trophy.
The Nigeria skipper said this while calling on Nigerians to start believing in the team as the Super Eagles prepare for their first match.
The Super Eagles will take on Equatorial Guinea tomorrow at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan.
Musa while chatting with the press said he is unshaken by the “social media noise” and the team believes in themselves and will give it the best despite doubts.
“Social media does not affect me, it motivates me. I had a meeting with the players yesterday night and we discussed concentration on the games”.
“We have quality players, the African footballer of the year, we have pressure, it’s true but as I said we don’t want to talk too much but show on the pitch. All the players are ready and focused and InshAllah you will see that on the pitch.
“We just want the fans and Nigerians to believe in us.” He said
