Egypt takes an early lead in the medals table of the 2023 African Games after clinching two Gold, a silver, and a bronze in the Table Tennis Single event.
Omar Assar and Hana Goda secured the Gold medals in the men’s and women’s singles finals.
Goda defeated her compatriot Dina Meshref 4-2, while Omar Assar escaped with the victory in a seven-game battle against arch-rival Quadri Aruna from Nigeria.
The Table Tennis event continues tomorrow with the men’s and Women’s team events.
