The Cameroon Football Federation faces disqualification from the 2025 African Cup of Nations if found guilty of age falsification.
This comes after the Cameroonian Federation suspended 62 players for age fraud, including Wilfried Nathan Douala who played for Cameroon club, Victoria United and was among the Indomitable Lions squad at the last AFCON.
Nathan who claimed to be 17 was among the 62 suspended for double identity and suspected of having concealed their true age.

The Victoria United (OPOPO) midfielder, whose license shows “Born on May 15th, 2006” allegedly cheated on his age claiming to be 17 during the AFCON.
According to CAF Article 45, “If CAF learns from whatever source that fraud or falsification of documents accomplished by any means and/or support whatsoever has been committed by one or more national team(s), an investigation will be opened “.
Article 46 says “If the incriminated facts are proven, the national association found guilty will be suspended from participation in the two following editions of the AFCON.”
Article 47 says “For any administrative error in the registration of players, the national association concerned will be suspended from participation in the following edition of the AFCON, and its team will be eliminated from the competition if the latter is still in progress .”
Nathan “Youngest” in the national team, was an unused substitute in AFCON 2023 but became prominent for his unmatched showmanship and dance moves. Article 47 could be applied to Cameroon if Nathan is found guilty of age falsification, which simply means Cameroon will not partake in the 2025 AFCON in Morocco.
