The Zambia National Handball Team began their campaign at the 2024 African Championships with a loss against DR Congo with a score line of 40-21 during the game played in Cairo, Egypt.
While the opening match result wasn’t as expected.. With strong determination and teamwork, Zambia can still aim to bounce back in their upcoming matches. The Team will look to rebound as they head into match 2 of Group A, where they face 2022 finalists Cape Verde who also recorded a win against Rwanda.
The match will be played on Friday 19th January 2024 at the Cairo International centreCentrewinners of the competition will also earn the coveted ticket for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, as Africa’s representative. The top five sides in the final standings will also earn a place at the 2025 IHF Men’s World Championships.
