An Ethiopian Midfielder has been reported to have died tragically
Alelegn Azene, a promising midfielder who played for Bahir Dar City, has reportedly died.
A report by Balageru T.V. described his death as a sudden one which is not expected.
Other sources on social media seem to suggest that the player took his own life. However, the circumstances under which that has happened are unspecified.
The player was one of the highest-paid players in the Ethiopian league and Alelege was recently wedded in the traditions of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church – taking communion.
He was born and raised in Arba Minich. While the specific arrangement is yet unknown, it is confirmed that he will be laid to rest in Arba Minch on Wednesday
