The 2024 World Indoor Athletics Championship came to an end yesterday with the United States winning 20 medals.
The United States won six Gold from men’s 60m, 800m 60m Hurdles, Shot put Women’s 3000m, and Long Jump.
9 Silver in Men 60m, 1500m, 3000m, High Jump, Pole Vault, 4×400m relay, Women’s 1500m, long Jump, and 4×400m relay While five Bronze in Men’s 1500, Women’s 400m, 1500m, Pole Vault, Shot Put.
African Representatives Ethiopia and Burkina Faso finished strong in the Championship.
Ethiopia Won two golds in the Women’s 800m and 1500m, a Silver in the Women’s 3000m, and a Bronze in the Men’s 3000m While Fabrice Zango won the Men’s Triple Jump to clinch Gold for Burkina Faso.
Other African Countries that won medals are Algeria Algeria with Silver in the Men’s Triple Jump, Benin with Bronze in Women’s 800m, and Kenya with Bronze in Women’s 3000m.
