The West African Football Union (WAFU B) has announced hosting countries for the 2025 CAF U17 and U20 AFCON qualifying tournaments.
After the successful organization of AFCON 2023 in Ivory Coast, WAFU has released a schedule for the West Zone B qualifying tournaments as part of its activity program.
Accra, the capital of Ghana, and the Togolese capital, Lomé, will respectively host the boys’ qualifying tournament for the AFCON U17 (May 15 to 29, 2024) and the U20 qualifying tournament (October 17 to 31, 2024).
Seven countries, namely Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Niger, Nigeria and Togo, will be participating in the tournament.
The Winners of the tournament and the top two qualify to represent the WAFU Zone B at the next AFCON U17 and AFCON U20.
The final tournament of these two continental competitions will serve as qualification for the 2025 U17 and U20 World Cup.
