The Confederation of African Football (CAF), the football governing body in Africa, has provided ticket sales data for the upcoming TotalEnergies AFCON2023, revealing Nigeria’s position in the top five.
Scheduled to commence early next month and hosted by Cote d’Ivoire, AFCON2023 has garnered significant interest, reflected in the ticket sales rankings. AsF’s data shared on its social media handles show that Host Ivory Coast and Guinea-Bissau are leading the race with the most tickets purchased so far with 32307 and 28614 tickets each.
In third position is Equatorial Guinea with 16237 tickets, Nigeria with 12544 tickets while defending Champions Senegal holds the fifth position among nations with the highest ticket purchases for the tournament with 10959 tickets
The best-selling match tickets so far are the opening game between Host Ivory Coast and Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast vs Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea vs Ivory Coast, Mozambique vs Ghana, Senegal vs Cameroon, Guinea vs Gambia, and Egypt vs Ghana.
The 2023 AFCON Will kick off on January 14th with the opening match between Host Ivory Coast and Guinea-Bissau
