Nigeria has clinched qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympics and secured back-to-back appearances at the showpiece event, having also featured last time at Tokyo 2020.
Despite losing 46-100 to World champions USA earlier in the day, a subsequent victory by Belgium over Senegal was enough to wrap up a ticket to Paris with a game to spare in Antwerp.
This will be Nigeria’s third appearance in the FIBA Basketball Olympic games. Nigeria’s first appearance was in 2004 before making a second appearance in 2020.
Nigeria will play host Belgium in their last group game on Sunday.
