Nigeria’s Golden Arrows were defeated 36-19 by Tunisia on day 2 of the Africa Men Handball Nations Cup in Egypt on Friday.
Coach Rafiu Salami’s tutored side couldn’t match the handballing prowess of the ten-time Africa champion from the very start of the match but did manage to claw back a bit as they lost the first half 18-10.
In the second half, the status quo continued with the Tunisians scoring almost effortlessly and Nigeria struggling with turnovers and then losing the match as Tunisia scored the last goal through a seven-meter penalty to make it 36-19.
Nigeria will play their last match of the group on Sunday against Kenya who lost earlier to Angola 48-20.
