Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Ronwen Williams visited his alma mater, Gelvandale Primary School in Eastern Cape Gqeberha previously named Port Elizabeth.
The AFCON 2023 Goalkeeper of the tournament donated R50,000 +$2,643) towards the school’s sporting department.
He also donated the AFCON jersey he wore when he saved 4 penalties in a game at AFCON 2023 vs Cape Verde and gave some inspiration to the students with a motivational speech.
Williams won the AFCON 2023 Golden Glove after keeping five clean sheets in seven games and making penalties save against Cape Verde and DR Congo that led South Africa to finish third in the 2023 AFCON.
