The Confederation of African Football, CAF Appeal Committee has overturned Morocco Coach Walid Regragui’s suspension.
Walid Regragui had been given a four-match ban, with two games suspended, after being involved in an on-field altercation with DR Congo men’s national team captain Chancel Mbemba at the end of their match on Sunday.
CAF has also overturned the fine given to him and he will no longer pay the $5,000 fine.
This means the Morocco coach will be on the touchline for the AFCON 2023 Round of 16 game against South Africa on Tuesday.
The results of the appeal have made people believe that the Tanzania coach who made the statement that CAF is being controlled by Morocco FA was right after all.
