Australia, Belgium, Canada, the People’s Republic of China, France, Germany, Japan, Nigeria, Puerto Rico, Serbia, Spain, and the USA will all compete at Paris 2024 – with 10 of the teams claiming their spots through the qualifying tournaments that took place in four cities around the world from 8-11 February.
FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2022 champions USA and the hosts of the Olympic Games, France, had guaranteed spots in the Olympics ahead of the FIBA Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournaments.
A total of 11 teams already have previous Olympic appearances, but there was a significant new chapter written for Germany, who will make history when they appear at the Games for the very first time.
