Emilio Nsue, the top scorer of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast has come out to accuse his country’s FA of corruption and trying to import Brazilian players.
The 34-year-old Equatorial Guinea Captain was suspended indefinitely by his country’s football federation for alleged serious indiscipline during the tournament.
Nsue, 34, who scored five goals in four matches, said his country did not congratulate him for receiving the Golden Boot prize despite Equatorial Guinea’s elimination in the last 16.
Emilio Nsué López live on Instagram revealed so many things that led to his suspension from the national team and said he will never give up on making things right in his country
“These cancerous and corrupt people who manage football in Equatorial Guinea took 1 million euros for themselves by leaving the national team in bad conditions.”
“Before the match against Nigeria at AFCON2024, the players did not have any outfits ready. The equipment used in the national team is paid for by the players and not the federation. The federation threatening certain local players and taking money from them.”
“The only congratulations I received when I got my top scorer award came from the Ivorian authorities. My country has been ungrateful to me.”
“They want to change the sports project and bring in Brazilians. You are shameless, we are the tenth-best team on the African continent. They take money everywhere, they owe us money and they are stealing it.”
“The Nzalang is going to continue but with this President and his Board, we are not going to go. To continue with them would be a humiliation.
“They have thrown me out without any explanation, they have invented an illegal internal regime. “They have humiliated me worldwide.
“I’m going to die for my country, I’m going to give the boot to the people and let them enjoy it. The National team is above everything and everyone. Long live Nzalang and Equatorial Guinea” He said
