The man, identified as Anselme Santos went viral supporter in the stands for his country’s famous AFCON win against defending champions Senegal has gone viral for appearing to eschew the stadium’s rampant celebrations in favour of talking to a woman standing next to him.
Santos becomes instant meme material as he’s caught on camera chatting to a terrified-looking young woman during AFCON hosts’ victory over defending champions Senegal.
Santos apologising said: “I told her ‘Give me your number’. But she didn’t want to. So I didn’t insist. I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to the lady, my wife, and my children!”
